The block does not compress, it stays the same.
The Jump Block is a block that allows the player to reach high places, when a player steps onto the top face of the block they are propelled upwards 6 blocks compared to the normal one block that a player can jump, no jumping on the jump block is required as it does it automaticly. Some have suggested that this be used in traps with the combination of the shock block but this is just ridicules due to the fact that players are almost always aware of the trap.
It can only be placed by the Engineer.
